Ceremony Zip Mediafire
Jan 1, 2014 - Here's a new year treat from a band that needs no introduction. The Bay Area's Ceremony have been banging out amazing hardcore releases.
Uh oh, doesn't Anna Von Hausswolff like what the music would have been in a medieval Pull & Bear clothes store? The base for her sound is gothic, church-organ heavy drony rock, but her high-tone vocals, the production and the pop sensibilities bring out a much more lush sound, like what Lana Del Rey would sound like if she listened to mid-1990s Swans, were Scandinavian, and didn't address her music to teen girls shopping at Forever 21, but to Vikings looking for a new shield at a Hanseatic city mall while on a break from attacking Christian monks. OK, a more serious description could 'Dead Can Dance covering Black Sabbath.' Well, I hope that the references to Lana Del Rey and clothes big stores don't put off people from listening, she is fun, and the live videos I've seen on Youtube are more passionate and war-like. Ceremony: 2012 cd on Kning Disk. The Miraculous: 2015 cd on City Slang/Pomperipossa. It goes without saying that in the underground no-one should be content with just downloading stuff.
The underground is a give-and-take process, it's about supporting DIY artists and labels offering amazing works that the mainstream cannot even dream of making. My uploads are a way of sharing the music I love and I have bought with my hard-earned money, it's not ripping people off. So, even though many of the uploads here are of releases that are still available, you are advised to buy whatever you think is worth spending money on.
If the artists or labels involved in the stuff uploaded want their work removed, they can ask politely and not in an offensive manner that would amount to legal threats and would only serve corporate interests. (Oh, and if someone wants something that has been removed real bad and can't find it in a physical form, they can contact me).

Vile Rating: (1 review) ————————————————————— Having formed in 1990, and after a boatload of demos, Deteriorot finally managed to churn out a full-length in 2001. Personally, I'm glad they waited, because with all that time, they certainly managed to craft a flawless hunk of Death Metal. Skirting more on the doom side of things, this album is unique in that while it's not overly heavy like Incantation or Dominus Xul, the way it's performed and how the riffs make this album seem much heavier and crushing than it actually is.
The riffs are very clear and you can feel the 'oomph' behind each and every one of them. Nothing gets lost in the mix and tremendous atmosphere is generated to really make this release stand out.
The vocals are also very fascinating. I haven't heard much like these before. They are not your typical heavy, gutturals or roaring screams.
It's hard to describe, but it seems like the guy here has a certain pitch to his growls, making them sound more demonic and engaging. The guy also sounds really pissed off, which helps to add to the atmosphere.
